Jessica Wade is the founding President and CEO of Mighty Little Giants (MLG), a National 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that advocates through providing support, education and hope for mothers and fathers experiencing pre-term deliveries resulting in long-term stays in the hospitals’ NICU. MLG’s mission is to bridge and stand in the gap for families with babies in the NICU by embracing MLG’s core values – Integrity, Compassion and Encouragement – ultimately giving them peace and becoming their light during their dark and difficult season.
In addition to the NICU support services, MLG provides monthly peer-to-peer mentoring, emergency financial support, as well as life after the NICU life skills.
Mrs. Wade has spent the last 10 years working in her community, advocating for under-served women, children and families. She is a devoted wife, a Mother of two, a Mentor, a full-time Enrollment & Outreach Specialist in the Antelope Valley, as well as a Sunday School teacher. Her passion for NICU families and mothers experiencing pre-term births developed as a result of her personal experience of being hospitalized on total bed-rest for eight weeks, prior to delivering her first son 12-weeks prematurely. Once her son was released from the NICU after his 143-day stay, she made a promise to God that she would do everything in her power to help families that experience similar situations.
Jessica Wade is a proud member of the following committees and organizations:
• Patient and Family Advisory Committee - Children's Hospital of Los Angeles
• Parent Hour Committee - Children's Hospital of Los Angeles
• Home Visitation Advisory Board - Antelope Valley Partners for Health (A.V.P.H)
• Cherished Futures for Black Moms & Babies - Antelope Valley Community Adviser
• African American Infant Maternal Mortality Committee - Antelope Valley
Mighty LITTLE Giants, Inc is a National 501 (c) (3) Non - Profit Organization that provides support, education and hope for mothers and fathers experiencing preterm deliveries. Our mission is to bridge the gap for our families, and become their light in a dark season. In addition to the NICU / NICCU support services, we also support our families with monthly events, peer - to - peer mentoring , emergency financial support, and life AFTER the NICU life skills.
Founded in 2019 by Jessica Wade, Mighty Little Giants, Inc. has become an amazing resource to so many families. In January of 2014, Jessica and her husband Marlon Wade Sr. found out they were pregnant with twins! Due to complications they unfortunately miscarried one of the babies causing Jessica's water to break at 21 weeks pregnant.
In order to save the life of their child ( Marlon Wade Jr.), Jessica remained on bed-rest in the hospital for eight weeks. Once Marlon was born at 28 weeks, he endured a 143 day stay at the Antelope Valley Hospital and Children's Hospital of Los Angeles with extremely low chances for survival. Through the power of prayer, Marlon Jr. was released from the hospital at five months old.
During their hospital stay they lost almost everything they had but each other. Now that they've overcome the trials and tribulations of 2014, they've become the light at the end of the tunnel for the Mighty Little Giant families by providing hope during depression, and peace in the midst of a storm.
Leading by experience, their goal is to give the MLG families rest , peace and education.
